Las Vegas: Winter sale at Venetian and Palazzo starts at $129 a night

Ready for an Italian getaway in winter? Well, look no farther than Las Vegas. The Palazzo and Venetian hotels are featuring an e-mail offer on rooms that start at $129 a night.

The deal: The deal is in an e-mail invitation to join the hotels' Grazie rewards program. (You won’t find the rates listed on the Palazzo or the Venetian website.) You don't need to join the free program to take advantage of this sale; just click on this link.

The sale room rates are $129 per night midweek and $169 per night on weekends; prices exclude tax and resort fees. If you book by phone, you'll pay $10 more. Use the promotion code “EPOXJAN” to get this deal online or by phone.

The deal also includes $25 off of a $60 tab at First Food & Bar; 30% off certain tickets to see Blue Man Group; and 20% off purchases at the Ricordo or the Apothecary shops.

When: The offer is good for selected nights through April 30, you must book it by 11:59 p.m. PST Monday.

Tested: I went to the e-mail offer and found  the $129 rate for a suite with one king bed on Feb. 23; a $17-per-night resort fee and tax were additional. The same room on the same night cost $20 more without the deal. Weekend rates with this deal save $30 per night.
