With the final installment in the Harry Potter film franchise soon to hit theaters, star Daniel Radcliffe sat down with GQ U.K. for an interview, revealing his recent struggles with alcohol.

"I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” he told the magazine, later adding, "As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time — that doesn’t work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully."

At least in Britain, he doesn't seem to be alone. A 2010 survey by the NHS Information Centre found that the percentage of students between ages 11 and 15 who had never drunk alcohol has been on the rise in recent years -- from 39% in 2003 to 49% in 2009.

The Independent reports that the upcoming 2011 survey is expected to see that trend continue, and points to a number of young British celebs who have gone teetotalist and never looked back -- not yet, anyway.
