Inspired by friends' photos, Randy Berler and his wife traveled to Morocco in May to experience the country firsthand. Captivated by the desert bathed in the day's receding light, he snapped this photo while on a camel trek to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
"The early evening sun made for spectacular colors," the Torrance resident said. Berler used a Canon EOS 50D.
