Whether you long to savor truffles or New Mexico scenery, this deal offers an April getaway to Santa Fe

The deal: The 25th Anniversary Package gives guests 25% off the Eldorado Hotel's best available rate, which often starts at $169 during April. Guests also receive a box of truffles. The Eldorado is in downtown Santa Fe near the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Its pueblo-revival style guestrooms include 32-inch flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms include wood-burning kiva fireplaces.

When: April 1-30.

Tested:  When I went to the hotel's website, the special was widely available in April except for April 1, 13-16 and 27-30. (Availability may have changed since I checked.). A one-night stay in a deluxe room on April 9 was priced at $127 with the discount, for a total of $146.13 including tax.  A one-night deposit, required to make a resevation, is refundable up to 72 hours before 4 p.m. (local time) on the scheduled arrival date.

Note: If you can't get this deal online, call the hotel. For a period Tuesday night, the website's reservations page was calling up error messages.

Contact: Eldorado Hotel, (800) 955-4455.
