MOVIES

Talking heads are common in documentaries, but they're usually not made of cloth, wood and latex — as they occasionally are in "Dumbstruck," a new film following five ventriloquists and their puppets as they pursue professional success and personal happiness. Director Mark Goffman, producer Lindsay Goffman and film subject Dan Horn will participate in Q&A sessions after these select screenings. The film will also run next week. Regent Theatre, 1045 Broxton Ave., L.A. 7:15 p.m. Fri. and Sat.; 5:15 p.m. Sat. and Sun. $10.50. (310) 208-3250. http://www.dumbstruckthemovie.com.
