Arleta's De'Jon Coleman ties City record

Senior running back scores four touchdowns, giving him a record-tying 46 for the season.

Senior running back De'Jon Coleman of Arleta tied a City Section record Thursday when he scored his 46th touchdown of the season in a 40-6 victory over Verdugo Hills.

He scored four touchdowns and tied the season touchdown record established by Marlon Lucky of North Hollywood in 2004. Coleman, who rushed for 141 yards in 19 carries, had touchdown runs of one, 13 and nine yards. He also returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown.

Arleta (9-1) won the East Valley League championship and clinched a City Section Division I playoff berth.
