Too dumb to fail? A Las Vegas ultra-lounge opening in 2012 will offer guests the chance to shoot machine guns, assault rifles and famous firearms from World War II. Machine Guns Vegas will feature 16 shooting lanes. It will not serve alcohol. . . . . Legoland California’s holiday celebration begins Saturday and concludes with the annual Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party. For more information, click here or call (760) 918-5346. . . . Mendocino County’s inaugural  “Festive Fortnight” will showcase lights, galleries and food,  Dec. 1-14. The 14 days coincide with the popular Candlelight Inn Tour, held all along the Mendocino Coast, and the Festival of Lights celebration at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.  For information, click here.... This year’s Napa B&B Holiday Tour & Taste Event  takes place Dec. 3, with world-class varietal wines and gourmet dishes. Among the participating inns are Arbor Guest House and Beazley House. . . . The exhibit, included with the museum’s $10 admission, runs through April 29. . . . Michael Pace, general manager at W San Francisco, has won California Hotel & Lodging Assn.’s award as GM of the year for large properties. . . . The Los Angeles Times Travel section has won three Lowell Thomas awards.  Christopher Reynolds won for his “Southern California Close-Ups”  package; Mark Boster for his photography in “Yosemite in Four Seasons”; the section overall won the top prize for newspapers with circulations of 350,000 or more. . . .
