Call of Duty XP This fan event celebrating the military-themed Call of Duty video game franchise has transformed a nondescript hangar into a gamer's paradise, complete with previews of Modern Warfare 3, a $1-million tournament, live paintball in a replica level and a closing performance by Kanye West. Taste Eat your heart out at the Taste, a large culinary festival hosted by the Los Angeles Times and Food & Wine magazine. County Fair The largest county fair in North America runs for a month and boasts more than 600 vendors, horse racing, carnival games, the Chinese Circus of Beijing, pig racing and, of course, an abundance of fried food.
