It's crowded at the beach. Actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have listed their Malibu beach house for $14,749,000 — joining about 50 other homes priced at $10 million or more in the coastal city.
Entered through a gated, landscaped courtyard, the Balinese-inspired house backs up to sand dunes and the ocean. The 4,300-square-foot house, built in 1978, was redesigned and renovated in 2005. It has a screening room, an office and a detached guest/meditation room. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and a beachfront balcony for a total of four bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms.
Hawn, 65, gained recognition among television viewers in the late 1960s for her role as a regular and dancer on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In." Among her film roles is "Cactus Flower" (1969), for which she won an Oscar for best supporting actress. She was nominated for best actress for "Private Benjamin" (1980).
Russell, 60, will star in the film "Waco" and the football movie "Touchback," to be released this year.
The property, which was purchased in 1989, has been listed for sale or lease frequently since 1995.
Kimberley Pfeiffer of Coldwell Banker, Malibu Colony, is the listing agent.
