Andrew Bynum says a season sweep of the Dallas Mavericks will hold little… (Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles…)

When: 12:30 p.m.

Where: Staples Center.

On the air: TV: Channel 7; Radio: 710, 1330.

Records: Lakers 38-22; Mavericks 34-26.

Record vs. Mavericks: 3-0.

Update: A victory over Dallas would give the Lakers a sweep in the regular-season series a year after the Mavericks won all four games against the Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals. But Lakers center Andrew Bynum said that accomplishment would not hold any significance should the teams meet again in a few weeks: "Because it's not the playoffs. It's that simple." He might have a point. The Lakers won two of three games against the Mavericks in the regular season in 2010-11 before faltering in the playoffs.
