The Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park opens for the season Friday at 5 p.m.  There will be limited visitor services available at Glacier Point. Tioga Road will remain closed. Another sign of summer: $55,000 will be up for grabs at the Bass Lake Fishing Derby May 5 and 6, at the lake 20 minutes south of the Highway 41 entrance to Yosemite. Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel is holding the fourth annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering, where motorcycle owners and collectors can buy and sell bikes.
