Update: Landon Donovan and David Beckham will return for their first Major League Soccer matches since the All-Star break. Donovan missed the exhibition match against Real Madrid on Thursday due to a suspension as a result of yellow card accumulation. Beckham, back from the Olympics, played only about half of the match against Real Madrid and may still be trying to regain his conditioning. Seattle is on a five-match unbeaten run after a 2-1 victory in Colorado last weekend. A win for the Galaxy would help increase the gap between the Galaxy and Chivas USA for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Galaxy is seven points ahead.
