A picture has emerged on the Web of what is alleged to be the next iPhone's motherboard, and it seems to indicate the iPhone 5 will be Apple's first LTE phone.
The pictures show several indicators for minor changes coming in the iPhone 5. Included among those changes is the presence of more antenna connections on the alleged motherboard than on the iPhone 4S. This could indicate that the iPhone 5 will finally make the jump from 3G to LTE, or the next generation of mobile wireless data.
Another feature on the motherboard that has been changed is its digitizer, which could be further evidence that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen, as has been rumored for months.
The sixth-generation iPhone's SIM card slot also appears to have been changed, according to 9 to 5 Mac. The new motherboard appears to show the upcoming phone will have a smaller SIM card slot than on the iPhone 4 or 4S.
