Christina Aguilera's hair is going the opposite direction of Miley Cyrus': While Miley was taking the color out and the length short, Xtina is leaving it long and adding color.
The color purple, as a matter of fact.
Aguilera showed off her new look Sunday at a media event for "The Voice," where she appeared with fellow judges Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine, host Carson Daly and producer Mark Burnett. The series premieres Sept. 10.
The big news of the event, in addition to the purple? In a change from last season, this time around "The Voice" will allow judges to "steal" contestants whom other judges have sent home, leading up to a "knockout" round in which teams are reduced to five people from eight or 10. (Read more about it from the Show Tracker folks, who attended the event.)
Aguilera also welcomed new "X-Factor" panelist Britney Spears to the ever-expanding world of reality-TV talent show judging.
"I came up with Britney. Mickey Mouse Club, we were very close," she said. "Our paths have always crossed and they continue to cross. I welcome her to this family of fun and entertainment and finding new talent. Britney's a pro."
