Mobile travel application developer Mobiata last week upgraded a free app that gives travelers -- and those picking them up at the airport -- a handy way to access up-to-date flight details. On a smartphone or other mobile device, you can find departure and arrival times (including any delays), airport gate numbers, maps of the route your plane takes and baggage claim information too.

The deal: FlightTrack Free is available for Apple and Android devices. Mobiata says this revised application better integrates flight details with a map. The app provides information on more than 16,000 airports worldwide and 1,400 airlines.
When: The application may be downloaded any time.
Details: The app also is available in languages other than English, including Japanese, Dutch, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and others.
