The Next:  This nationwide talent search featuring Gloria Estefan, John Rich, Nelly, and Joe Jonas premieres in Orlando, Fla. (9 p.m. KTLA).

Braxton Family Values:  The unscripted series returns for a new season (9 p.m. WE).

Anger Management:  Charlie (Charlie Sheen) gets an unexpected visit from his hypercritical father (Martin Sheen) in this new episode (9:30 p.m. FX).

Extreme Chef: Seven chefs embark on new culinary adventures in the season premiere (10 p.m. Food).


Great White Invasion: Reloaded:  Scientists try to understand why more white sharks than usual are being spotted near popular beaches in this new Shark Week special (8 p.m. Discovery). "Great White Highway" and "Shark Week's 25 Best Bites" follow at 9 and 10 p.m.

Time Machine Chefs:  In this new special, four experienced chefs are challenged to create culinary masterpieces using only the most basic of equipment and no electricity or running water (9 p.m. ABC).


Little League baseball: Little League Baseball World Series: Caribbean vs. Japan (10 a.m. ESPN); New England vs. West (Noon. ESPN); Asia-Pacific vs. Europe (2 p.m. ESPN2); Midwest vs. Southeast (5 p.m. ESPN).

Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Pittsburgh Pirates (1 p.m. FS Prime); the Tampa Bay Rays visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN).

Preseason football: The Cincinnati Bengals visit the Atlanta Falcons (5 p.m. Fox).
