Papers filed in a New York court indicate the case was closed Monday, a mere 53 days from when Holmes filed for divorce and 42 days from when the couple reached a settlement agreement. The couple formerly known as TomKat, parents to 6-year-old Suri, got married in 2006.

Contrast that with the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce, which on Monday saw the still-married couple marking the one-year anniversary of their lavish wedding despite divorce proceedings that began in October 2011.
The latter couple was married for 72 days before the bride said "I don't" — about three weeks longer than it took Tom and Katie to make their mega-breakup official.
