Tony Scott's family will hold a private memorial this weekend for the "Top Gun" and "Unstoppable" director, a representative said in a statement. Scott jumped off a bridge in San Pedro to his death on Sunday, according to authorities.

Sometime after Labor Day, there will also be a public event.

Here is the complete statement: "Tony Scott will be honored at a private, family-only ceremony this weekend in Los Angeles. The family will announce plans after Labor Day for a gathering to celebrate the life and work of Mr. Scott. Details will be forthcoming once they are formalized."
