The Venice Film Festival kicked off Wednesday, with two leading ladies ditching the sluggish heat of Hollywood for the cooler canals of the Italian city.
Kate Hudson, showing off her post-baby body in a nude Atelier Versace gown, hit the Palazzo del Cinema for the premiere of her "The Reluctant Fundamentalist," directed by Mira Nair.
With baby daddy Matthew Bellamy in tow, Hudson flashed a wide smile alongside costar Liev Schreiber and his partner, Naomi Watts.
This year's festival, which runs through Sept. 8, will offer star power from the likes of Shia LaBeouf and Robert Redford ("The Company You Keep"), Ben Affleck ("To the Wonder"), Zac Efron ("At Any Price") and Rachel McAdams ("Love Crime").
Paul Thomas Anderson's highly anticipated "The Master" will also show off its pedigreed ensemble, including Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams.
