Arrow: Oliver (Stephen Amell) trains Helena (Jessica DeGouw) as his ally, teaching her how to use a crossbow, among other things, but Diggle (David Ramsey) worries that Helena can't be trusted. Katie Cassidy also stars in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

The Middle: Frankie (Patricia Heaton) takes a seasonal job so she can use her employee discount to buy presents for the kids, but the discount doesn't kick in until Christmas Eve, in this new episode (8 p.m. ABC).

Criminal Minds: Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays Dr. Spencer Reid, directed this new episode, which features an impending encounter between Reid and a mystery woman. Joe Mantegna and Jeanne Tripplehorn also star (9 p.m. CBS).

Supernatural: Without telling Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) asks a hunter named Martin (Jon Gries) to monitor Benny (Ty Olsson) in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

Chicago Fire: The sight of a young victim at the scene of a train accident leaves Mills (Charlie Barnett) shaken up and questioning whether he's suited to be a firefighter in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).


The Grammy Nominations Concert Live — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night: LL Cool J and Taylor Swift host this annual concert built around the announcement of the Grammy Awards nominations. Maroon 5, Ne-Yo, Fun. and Luke Bryan are scheduled to perform (10 p.m. CBS).


Women's college basketball: Baylor at Notre Dame (4 p.m. ESPN2).

College hockey: Vermont at Dartmouth (4 p.m. NBCSP).

Pro basketball: The Denver Nuggets visit the Atlanta Hawks (5 p.m. ESPN); the Lakers visit the New Orleans Hornets (5 p.m. TWSN); the Dallas Mavericks visit the Clippers (7:30 p.m. ESPN and FS Prime).

College basketball: Loyola Marymount at Northern Arizona (5:30 p.m. FSN); Temple at Villanova (6 p.m. ESPN2).
