Kanye West wears a Givenchy skirt to Sandy benefit

Kanye West garnered attention at Wednesday's 12-12-12 benefit for Superstorm Sandy victims, not only for his performance but for the kilt-like skirt he wore. The skirt, from Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, was part of the label's fall 2012 menswear collection. [The Cut]

Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen and designer of the Duchess of Cambridge's fairy tale wedding gown, received an Order of the British Empire in ceremonies on Thursday at Buckingham Palace. It's unclear whether she'll design any maternity clothes for the pregnant duchess, but babies are very much on her mind. Burton, too, is pregnant, and with twins. [Telegraph]

She shared that tidbit on the "Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012" special, which aired Wednesday night, and she said that she finds it fascinating that so many people are interested in her appearance. Los Angeles luxury boutique Just One Eye celebrated its collaboration with the Row and Damien Hirst with a party Wednesday night. Guests viewed the 12 Nile crocodile backpacks from the Row, each painted and signed by artist Hirst. Row designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made an appearance. [WWD]
