Update: UC Irvine was within three points of Louisiana State with under a minute left after Daman Starring made a three-point basket but the Anteaters ended up losing, 66-60, Tuesday night at the Bren Center. Last month, Irvine lost by a point to UCLA in overtime at Pauley Pavilion. The Anteaters outrebounded Louisiana State, 50-43, led by the seven rebounds of sophomore Will Davis II. USC Coach Kevin O'Neill said he will stick with the starting lineup he used Saturday in a victory over UC Riverside. It included both 7-footers on the roster, Dewayne Dedmon and Omar Oraby, as well as Eric Wise — who had been playing center — Jio Fontan and Byron Wesley. On the bench is leading scorer J.T. Terrell (he and Wise are averaging 10.7 points per game). Terrell played only one minute in the 70-26 victory over Riverside and O'Neill made a point of saying he will stick to playing "guys who play the right way."
