Andrea's is integrated into the resort’s Surrender nightclub, and its promoters say it will offer “vibe dining,” thanks largely to the resident DJ who will be spinning tunes throughout the evening. (The managers promise the volume will be subtle enough that it won't disrupt conversation.)
At the helm is Executive Chef Joseph Elevado, lured from the same post at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills.
Elevado’s menu is designed for people dining in groups, and although it offers traditional soups, salads and entrees, the emphasis is on what are being called “table shares” intended for passing. The 11 such items include crispy blue crab and scallop kimchee ($19) and Waygu beef sliders ($24).
For heartier appetites, the main courses include five-spice garlic lobster ($45) and Japanese Kobe rib cap ($65).
“I envision people eating much like I do when I go out with friends, sharing together family-style,” Elevado said in a news release. “Dishes like crispy crab and scallop, truffled ponzu rock shrimp tempura and, of course, Wagyu sliders are perfect to share."
