Cal State Fullerton wins seventh in a row

The Titans defeat Pacific, 78-73, for their longest winning streak since eight straight in 1990-91.

at Cal State Fullerton 78, Pacific 73: Kwame Vaughn scored 21 points and the Titans (10-3, 2-0) won their seventh straight, beating the Tigers (4-8, 0-1) in a Big West game. It is the Titans' longest winning streak since they won eight in a row during the 1990-91 season.

Long Beach State 74, at UC Irvine 60: Casper Ware scored 19 points and T.J. Robinson had 14 points and 13 rebounds to help the 49ers (8-6) win their Big West opener. Derick Flowers scored 16 for the Anteaters (4-10, 0-1). Long Beach trailed, 32-31, at halftime but shot 56.3% in the second half.

Cal State Northridge 63, at UC Riverside 52: Stephan Hicks and Josh Greene scored 13 points each, and the Matadors (4-8, 1-1) beat the Highlanders (6-8, 0-1) in a Big West game dominated by defense. Northridge shot 37%, Riverside 38%.

UC Santa Barbara 58, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 57: Orlando Johnson's three-pointer with five seconds left won it for the Gauchos (6-5) in a Big West opener, and gave Coach Bob Williams his school-record 223rd victory. Cal Poly is 9-5.
