Agnieszka Radwanska, a 23-year-old from Poland playing in only her second major semifinal, made use of her deadly aim and wide array of shots to beat eighth-seeded Angelique Kerber, a 24-year-old German playing in only her third major semifinal, 6-3, 6-4 Thursday at Wimbledon.
Radwanska, seeded third, has a chance to become the No. 1-ranked player in the world if Serena Williams beats second-seeded and second-ranked Victoria Azarenka in Thursday's second semifinal.
