Even though I didn’t get to breakfast until a little late, my stomach was shrieking in outraged emptiness by the time lunch rolled around. And when I finished the allotted sandwich, I was immediately thinking, “Is that all?”
I do have my afternoon snack – 1 tablespoon of almond butter and eight celery sticks (4 inches each). But if I eat that now, dinner will seem like days away.
Finally, it’s 4 p.m. Snack time. Hallelujah!! I don’t even like celery sticks that much, and could eat 10 tablespoons of almond butter without noticing. But at this point, my teeny-tiny Tupperware container looks like manna.
