When the Cookie Monster did his version of Carly Rae Jepson's "Call Me Maybe," I was ever so grateful to have something else on continuous play in my head -- even if, technically, it was the same song.
The catchy little song of the summer is still yielding version after version on YouTube. There are remakes, parodies and mashups, pulling single words or even just sounds to re-create the song.
And everyone from average folk to Jimmy Fallon, Tom Brady and the president has done or been featured in a version of the song. There's even an Android diss video, which kind of disses the iPhone in the process, called "Return it maybe."
There are millions of visits to these parodies. And since I happened upon a "Star Wars" mashup -- complete with contributions from Jabba, Jawas, Greedo and Chewie -- I thought I'd pull out some that spoke to me this Hump Day.
This one, published by jamescovenant, has garnered over 4 million views already.
The women and men of the U.S. Marines also saluted CRJ's song.

Let us know if you have other must-see parodies of the song. Although, frankly, I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what it is about this earworm of a song that has folks scrambling to remake it.
