Hulu Plus, the $7.99-a-month subscription service, is now available on Apple TV.
Hulu announced the move Tuesday. It is the latest expansion for the digital video service, which already has made itself available on Sony's Playstation 3, Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360.
Hulu, a joint venture of News Corp., Walt Disney Co. and NBCUniversal, has been working to expand the distribution of Hulu Plus, its monthly subscription service, as well as its menu of content. Earlier this year, the company rolled out its first original series, "Battleground," and this summer, "Larry King Now," an online re-format of King's longtime CNN show, joined Hulu's offerings.
Hulu Plus streams current and classic television programming, including such shows as "Modern Family," "New Girl," "Gossip Girl" and "South Park," from networks including ABC, NBC, Fox, CW, Comedy Central and Spanish-language Univision.
Last year, Hulu generated $420 million in revenue -- a 60% increase over 2010. Hulu Plus has more than 2 million subscribers, a fast ramp-up for the service that began two years ago.
Hulu averages more than 30 million unique visitors a month to its free, advertising supported Hulu site.
