Actor-comedian Jim Carrey lists Malibu Colony home at $13.95 million

The contemporary beach house features five bedrooms, 51/2 bathrooms and 2,866 square feet of living space.

Actor-comedian Jim Carrey has listed his place in gated Malibu Colony at $13.95 million.

The contemporary beach house features an open plan living room, family room, dining room and kitchen that lead to an ocean-facing deck. There are five bedrooms, 51/2 bathrooms and 2,866 square feet of living space. A spa sits on the rooftop deck.

Carrey, 50, has starred in such films as the "Ace Ventura" movies, "The Truman Show" (1998), "Bruce Almighty" (2003) and "Mr. Popper's Penguins" (2011). He will reprise his role as Lloyd Christmas in the sequel to "Dumb and Dumber."

Public records show he bought the property in 2002 for $9.75 million.

Janelle Friedman of Sotheby's International Realty in Pacific Palisades is the listing agent.
