The Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday announced a "wide-ranging marketing" partnership with Rovio Entertainment, creator of the wildly popular "Angry Birds" game.

It's the first such deal Rovio has made with a sports team, and the Eagles have not disclosed much about it other than to promise "plenty of Angry Birds fun" during the 2012 season.

The team did release a cartoon on YouTube promoting the partnership, with a flattering portrayal of a muscle-bound Andy Reid introducing the birds as the newest members of the Eagles.
