Satellite broadcaster Dish Network has struck a new deal with Hoak Media and will resume carrying the Dallas-based TV station owner's 14 stations.
Last week, Hoak Media's smaller-market stations were pulled from Dish after the two sides failed to come to terms on a new distribution agreement. Although such spats between programmers and distributors have become commonplace, this one was noteworthy because Dish said Hoak had cited the satellite operator's new commercial skipping device, known as the AutoHop, as a reason it was pulling its stations.
