Update: Ducks defenseman Toni Lydman, who has played in 69 games this season, sat out Sunday because of an upper-body injury. Coach Bruce Boudreau said Lydman would likely return against the Sharks, having benefited by taking an extra day off. "You have no idea how many bumps and bruises he's got and he's been a warrior all year in playing through it," Boudreau said. "I thought if he played tonight he would be just that way tomorrow and he might not be able to play Wednesday against St. Louis."
