When the Mel Brooks movie-turned-blockbuster-musical "The Producers" takes the Hollywood Bowl stage this summer, "Modern Family's" Jesse Tyler Ferguson will play Leo Bloom and Richard Kind will be Max Bialystock, the schemers memorably played by Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane on Broadway.

Scheduled for a weekend run of performances on July 27-29, "The Producers" will feature two actors from the original Broadway company: Tony Award-winner Gary Beach will reprise his role as director Roger De Bris and Roger Bart will return as his assistant Carmen Ghia. Beach and Bart also were part of the cast in "The Producers' " 2005 movie. Rounding out the Hollywood Bowl cast is Rebecca Romijn as the Swedish bombshell Ulla.

Susan Stroman, "The Producers' " director and choreographer, will fill the same roles for the Hollywood Bowl production.

Kind, who played Bialystock on Broadway during a run from 2004-05, also has been seen in television comedies with work on "Spin City" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as well as the Coen Brothers' 2009 film "A Serious Man."

Ferguson's theater experience includes creating the role of Leaf Coneybear in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and starring in the Public Theater/ Shakespeare in the Park productions of “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” “Merchant of Venice,” “A Winter's Tale” and “On the Town.”

"The Producers" won a record number of Tony Awards -- 12 -- in 2001.

Single tickets are available at the Hollywood Bowl box office.
