  In this new episode Raj and Howard (Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg) try to figure out why Sheldon (Jim Parsons) disappears at 2:45 every afternoon (8 p.m. CBS).

30 Rock: Liz (Tina Fey) listens to Jack's (Alec Baldwin) advice and decides to put her own needs ahead of work for once, while an unflattering portrayal of him in Tracy's (Tracy Morgan) latest project has Jack craving revenge (8 p.m. NBC).

The Vampire Diaries: Klaus (Joseph Morgan) takes matters into his own hands after telling Stefan (Paul Wesley) about Elena (Nina Dobrev), who is frightened and confused by a series of hallucinations in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

The X Factor: Taylor Swift performs (8 p.m. Fox).

Project Runway All Stars:  Readers of "USA Today" provide inspiration for the designers in this new episode (9 p.m. Lifetime).

Mysteries at the Museum:  The investigating series returns for a new season (9 p.m. Travel).

Parks and Recreation: A proposal to turn Lot 48 into a dog park becomes a bone of contention between Leslie and April (Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza). Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe also star on this new episode (9:30 p.m. NBC).

The League:
  Taco (Jonathan Lajoie) tries to sell knockoff merchandise and has a run-in with Chicago great Jim McMahon (10:30 p.m. FX).


Joan Rivers: Don't Start With Me:  The comic is featured in a live stand-up performance (9:35 p.m. Showtime).

ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2012:  This new special features performances from Carolina Chocolate Drops, Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin, Alabama Shakes and Bonnie Raitt (10 p.m. KVCR).

Restore the Shore:  The cast of "Jersey Shore" hosts a fundraiser to help rebuild Seaside Heights, N.J. (11 p.m. MTV).


Crossfire Hurricane:  In celebration of the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary this new documentary from filmmaker Brett Morgen looks back at the band's journey from London club gigs to global fame (9 p.m. HBO).
