Update: The defending champion Lynx completely dominated the Sparks in Thursday's 94-77 Game 1 victory in Minneapolis, holding an edge in points in the paint (46-34), rebounding (37-25) and second-chance points (20-2). This is an elimination game in the Western Conference finals, and Game 3, if necessary, would be Wednesday at Minnesota. Sparks guard Kristi Toliver, who averaged 26 points in the first round against

San Antonio, was limited to 12 in Game 1 against Minnesota and only had two points until the final 51/2 minutes.
