Jack Hanna's Into the Wild:  This new series features animal footage from around the globe. Up first: Elephants (7 a.m. MyNet).

30 for 30: The documentary "Ghosts of Ole Miss" revisits the tumultuous events at the University of Mississippi in 1962, when racial violence over integration collided with pride and enthusiasm for an undefeated football team (5 p.m. ESPN; 11 p.m. ESPN2).

SoCal Connected: The nightly news magazine series examines how Super Pac money has influenced a local congressional race (7 and 10:30 p.m. KCET).

Iconoclasts: Christy Turlington Burns and designer Tony Burch are featured in this new episode (8 p.m. Sundance).

Airport 24/7: Miami: The season ends in a blaze of glory — well, a blaze anyway — when a fuel spill in a hangar puts the fire rescue and hazmat teams on high alert, then an explosion at the fuel farm turns into a full-blown inferno (9 p.m. Travel).

Frontline:  The state of Montana responds to the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United decision by challenging the ruling in court and investigating alleged abuses (9:30 p.m. KOCE).

Private Practice: Sam (Taye Diggs) becomes the subject of a reality television show in this new episode. With guest star Alfre Woodard and Richard Roundtree (10 p.m. ABC).

Viral Video Showdown:  In this new unscripted competition series video creators go head to head in a battle for bragging rights and a cash prize. Each week, two teams will have to create a video that best captures that week's theme and impresses an expert panel of viral video judges. Kevin Pereira hosts (10:30 p.m. Syfy).

Ellen DeGeneres: The Mark Twain Prize: The comedian, actress and daytime talk show host becomes the 15th recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in this ceremony, taped at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Lily Tomlin, Kristin Chenoweth, Sean Hayes, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jason Mraz join the celebration (8 p.m. KOCE).

SPORTS

Basketball: The Boston Celtics visit the Miami Heat (5 p.m. TNT); the Dallas Mavericks visit the Lakers (7:30 p.m. TNT).
