The Duchess of Cambridge drinks water, fueling baby-bump mania

The Duchess of Cambridge turned down a glass of wine in favor of water at a state dinner in Singapore on Tuesday. And immediately the fashion world and media started examining her floral print dress for signs of a baby bump. [New York Daily News]

Of course, she might have been drinking water because she is taking anti-malarial meds. [Examiner]

Meanwhile, the duke said he would like for the couple to have two children. But he didn't say whether a bun is already in the oven. [Telegraph]

We reported a couple of days ago about the French fashion editor who slapped a publicist at Zac Posen's New York Fashion Week show in a dust-up over front row seats, saying, "Now you know you don't [mess] with French people." Well, maybe the editor should think twice before throwing a slap. The publicist reportedly has punched back -- with a $1-million lawsuit. [WWD]

And in more evidence of the impolite world of Fashion Week, the New York Times' Cathy Horyn and Eric Wilson tweeted their indignation over Vogue editors refusing to let them on a half-empty elevator, insisting that it take off with Vogue personnel only. [The Cut]
