Regent Palms Turks & Caicos is taking half off room rates this fall at the beach-side luxury resort on Providenciales Island. It's an opportunity to try your hand at bonefishing in the shallows, go scuba diving or just sit back and stare at the turquoise waters from the beach.

The deal: The 50% off sale applies to all room sizes and types at the 72-suite Caribbean resort at Grace Bay Beach. Rooms at this resort aren't cheap; even with the sale, prices start at $313 a night. It includes continental breakfast, Wi-Fi, fitness center and use of non-motorized water sports equipment. Book online or by phone using the code "1NLT."

When: The offer is good for stays through Oct. 20.

Tested: I found availability for the cheapest room, a junior suite, from Oct. 5-9 for $313 a night plus tax. The room comes with a kitchenette (microwave and mini-refrigerator), king-sized bed and balcony.
