Jon Cryer won his first Emmy as lead actor in a comedy series for his role as uptight chiropractor Alan Harper in "Two and a Half Men." In 2009 Cryer won an Emmy for the role in the supporting actor category.
Cryer, 47, had said earlier this year he wanted to make a bid for a lead actor nomination for the series this season because so much of the plot hinged on his character, who is reworking his life after the death of his brother Charlie (the role played by Charlie Sheen, who was fired last year).
