HBO took home 23 Emmy Awards on Sunday, once again the most of any network, so we'd say it deserves a drink or 22.

For the cable network's Emmy party, the Pacific Design Center plaza was transformed into a psychedelic carnival of yellow florals, with miles of cheerful print fabrics, an LED kaleidoscope wall and plenty of bubbly for its big winners "Game Change" and "Veep."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus clutched her lead actress in a comedy trophy all night long, getting off her feet to have a nosh not far from Julianne Moore, who took home outstanding actress in a miniseries or movie for her portrayal of Sarah Palin.

Sunday also was an important night for a new member of the HBO family: Lena Dunham and her freshman comedy "Girls."

"It does overwhelm me," she said of the show's critical success. One thing she isn't complaining about? Feedback from fans.

"I find that lovely, twentysomething girls come up to me on the street, and teenage gay boys," Dunham said.

"When a group of gay teen boys stops me on the street, I know my time has come."

Dunham was joined by costars Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet, circulating in a room that included Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Clive Owen, Seth MacFarlane, Andrew Rannells, Alexander Skarsgard, Sofia Vergara, Ashlee Simpson and Ashley Judd.
