Police are investigating the deaths of a family of four in Herndon, Va., but have ruled out any threat to other members of the community, Fairfax County police said on Wednesday.
The four bodies -- two parents and two school-age children -- were taken to the medical examiner’s office for autopsies, police officials said. The cause of death is being withheld pending the completion of the autopsies.
Fairfax County police responded to a friend’s call to check the home in Point Rider Lane shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Co-workers were concerned that the resident had not reported for work for two days, police said.
