Recap: NFL referees, top games on 'NFL Slam With Mark and Sam'

September 28, 2012|By Dan Loumena

Farmer admitted he'd "never seen anything like it" when the fans in Baltimore cheered for the return of the regular officials.

As far as the Ravens defeating the Browns, 23-16, in a game that included two Hail Mary passes at the end of the game by Cleveland, Farmer simply said, "The Browns are still the Browns." Farmer did admit that he "kind of liked the way Brandon Weeden looked at the end of the game."

A preview of top games this weekend included discussions about the recently beaten 49ers at the Jets, RG3 and the Redskins taking on the Buccanners in Tampa Bay and what Thompson termed "an ugly but interesting" game between the Giants and Eagles.

The Times' NFL Google+ hangout begins at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time each Monday and Friday during the season. If you have a question for Sam or Mark, please email them on Monday and Friday mornings to sportshangout@latimes.com and they will try to address them during the chat.
