Police were on the scene Wednesday of a San Pedro home, where a man was barricaded inside.

Los Angeles police received a call about 8 p.m. Tuesday about a man who was upset about getting kicked out of his house.

Police responded, and the man locked himself inside a home in the 700 block of South Meyler Street, within a block of a private high school and Cabrillo Avenue Elementary School.

The man is possibly armed, a police spokeswoman said.

An LAPD SWAT team is on the scene. It was unclear whether the man was barricaded inside his own home and whether anyone else was inside, police said.
