Bryant was injured in a 118-116 win over the Golden State Warriors. He underwent surgery the following day.
The Lakers' All-Star guard is expected to be out at least six to nine months.
The team won two final regular-season games without him, defeating the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets and finishing the season 45-37 and in seventh place in the Western Conference.
