August 03, 2013|By Anh Do

A man was fatally shot in Anaheim early Saturday in what police said was a gang-related shooting.

Officers found the man in the courtyard of an apartment complex in the 800 block of North Loara Street about 2:30 a.m. after getting a report of shots being fired, said Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim police.

The unidentified victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Witnesses told investigators the suspects may have yelled out the name of a local gang during the shooting.

No arrests have been made and no further details were available about the suspects.
