Records: Sparks 13-7, Sun 6-12.

Record vs. Sun (2012): 2-0.

Update: Candace Parker has a bone bruise in her right wrist and did not travel with the team to Connecticut. Parker, who has missed the team's last two games because of the injury, is listed as day to day, and the team says there is no immediate timetable for her return. The Sparks will play the Sun in their third game of a five-game trip. The Sun, which has won its last two games, is in last place in the Eastern Conference but only 1 1/2 games out of a playoff spot. The Sparks are in second place in the Western Conference, 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Minnesota Lynx. The Sun is led by Tina Charles, who is averaging 18.7 points and 10.9 rebounds a game.
