Seems the recent PGA Championship left some golfers in a tetchy mood.

While Ian Poulter suggested using Tasers on vociferous fans, fellow UK player Lee Westwood went on a three-hour Twitter rant against the "trolls" who criticized his play.

Westwood began Sunday's final round within six strokes of the lead but struggled throughout the day, finishing with a 76 that left him far off the pace. He has now failed to win a major in 63 attempts.

The vitriol finally ended with Westwood writing:

He came back six hours later to offer a mea culpa.
