Lady Gaga wears Balmain, Balenciaga to promote 'Applause' video

Lady Gaga made several public appearances Monday to promote her new "Applause" single and music video, changing outfits as she went. By midday, fashion watchers had spotted her in outfits by Balenciaga and Mathieu Mirano, as well as the Balmain fall 2013 black leather top and purple draped skirt she wore on Sirius XM 1's "The Morning Mashup Live" show. A seashell bikini, a bra made of hands, a fiber-optic light tail, parachute wings -- these are just some of the elements adorning Lady Gaga amid numerous costume changes in the new "Applause" music video, which was released Monday. Lindsay Lohan, on the comeback trail, seems to have launched -- or at least to be the subject of; it's a bit unclear -- a style blog, [Telegraph]

Jenn Rogien, costume designer for "Girls" and "Orange is the New Black," is Gap's official "Styled By" expert and has done a series of Web videos with styling tips that are to be out by the end of August. She tells The Cut blog that one tip is to take a whole armload of jeans into the fitting room with you to try to find the best fit. That and an honest friend. [The Cut]
