There was nothing off about Miley Cyrus' sexed-up performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, people — you just didn't "get it" yet.
That opinion comes from Miley's manager, who "couldn't have been happier" about how things went down, he tells Us Weekly.
"It could not have gone better," Larry Rudolph told the magazine. "The fans got it. The rest eventually will."
Cyrus' family and friends, including her mom, were cheering the singer on from the sidelines, he said.
Justin Timberlake, a fellow former Disney child star who also performed at the VMAs on Sunday, was apparently among those who "got it," pointing out in a radio interview this week that 20-year-old Miley is young and was just letting everybody know she’s growing up.
Plus, he said, “It's not like she did it at the Grammys. Let her do her thing, you know?"
Best pal Kelly Osbourne seemed to have gotten it, but still had some Fashion Police advice for Miley: "As her friend I'm going to tell her — put your [bleeping] tongue in your mouth! I love you, but just put your tongue in your mouth."
