SERIES

The Big Bang Theory:  Sheldon, Leonard and Howard (Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg) are on a quest to find perfect Valentines gifts for Amy, Penny and Bernadette (Mayim Bialik, Kaley Cuoco, Melissa Rauch) in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

Community: Pierce (Chevy Chase) accidentally locks himself in his mansion's panic room on Halloween, and study group comes to the rescue. Joel McHale and Alison Brie also star in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

Zero Hour: Anthony Edwards stars in this new drama series as the publisher of a myth-busting magazine whose his wife (Jacinda Barrett) is abducted. Michael Nyqvist, Carmen Ejogo and Charles S. Dutton also star (8 p.m. ABC).

American Idol: Hollywood week concludes and the top 40 contestants are revealed (8 p.m. Fox).

Two and a Half Men:  Depressed on Valentine's Day, Walden (Ashton Kutcher) tries to talk Kate (Brooke D'Orsay) into giving him another chance in this new episode (8:30 p.m. CBS).

Freakshow: This new eight-episode series follows former Todd Ray; his wife, Danielle; and their two kids, Asia and Phoenix, as they run a Venice Beach attraction (9:30 p.m. AMC).

Elementary:  When Detective Bell (Jon Michael Hill) is attacked, the investigation becomes more complicated than Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) expected in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS).

Immortalized: This new competition series is set in the world of taxidermy (10 p.m. AMC).

College basketball: Wisconsin at Minnesota (4 p.m. ESPN). LSU at South Carolina (4 p.m. ESPN2); Clemson at Georgia Tech (4 p.m. FS Prime); St. John's at Louisville (6 p.m. ESPN); UCLA at California (6 p.m. ESPN2); Gonzaga at St. Mary's (8 p.m. ESPN2).
